At Ascot Medical Centre, we aim to provide medical services to both the local community and visitors to our area. We strive to combine the best of traditional values in General Practice with modern medical facilities and the latest developments in medical technology and knowledge. We believe our doctors practice in the tradition of the community physician who cares for their patients long term, developing a thorough knowledge of their individual needs.

Appointments

Our Doctors prefer that patients make appointments. This allows us to plan the daily schedule to minimise waiting times. Please keep in mind however that emergencies do occur and our Doctors attend these as a priority. Phone us on 3268 1566 or simply drop in to the surgery to make a booking. Patients are free to see the Doctor of their choice. If you feel that your consultation will take longer than a standard appointment of 10-15 minutes, then please advise reception so that enough time is scheduled.

Phone consults

Telephone calls to doctors are limited to emergencies. Our receptionists can assist you with any enquiries or take a message and refer your enquiry to the doctor or nurse on duty. Telephone calls will be returned by your treating Doctor as soon as possible, however your Doctor may determine that your ongoing care is best managed face to face.

Test results

Our Doctors prefer to discuss your results in person unless other arrangements have been made at the time of your consultation. Feel free to make a follow-up appointment before you leave the centre or contact our reception staff to arrange a convenient time. As part of our commitment to you, clinic staff will either phone or write to recall you if the doctor needs to discuss something specific with you.

Recalls

As part of our commitment to your health, we can also offer to enroll you in a Recall programme designed to remind you to come in for specific health checks. Examples of these include reminders for pap smears, mammograms, annual check-ups, vaccinations, diabetes and asthma checks. We are also happy to tailor an individual program to suit your needs.
